Bioactive Giomer Technology features a specially engineered filler particle that allows Shofu Dental’s restorative products to have clinically proven, long-term bioactive, and therapeutic properties, according to the company.
Unavailable in other restorative materials, these healthful properties include an antibacterial, anti-plaque effect; acid neutralization; and fluoride release and recharge, Shofu said. An independent eight-year clinical research study displayed a 100% retention rate, intact aesthetics, no secondary caries, no failures, and no postoperative sensitivity, the company said.
Bioactive Giomer Technology is available in a complete line of products, such as universal composites (Beautifil II and Beautifil II LS), flowable composites (Beautifil Flow Plus and Beautifil Flow Plus X), self-adhesive flowable composite (FIT SA), resin cement (BeautiCem), and sealant (BeautiSealant).
