The Parkell Curing Light is designed with a low-profile head to help clinicians more easily reach the posterior region of the mouth or slide it into the buccal vestibule. With high-quality LEDs that provide intense light that will last, Parkell says, the Curing Light offers three curing modes: 3-second tacking, 10-second cure, and 20-second cure. It also has two user-selectable intensity settings: 1,000 mW/cm2 for gelling cements or curing sealants, or 2,000 mW/cm2 for curing darker shaded composites and standard curing. Its wavelength range is 420 to 480 nm, which Parkell calls necessary for today’s dental materials. The light features an effective beam spot diameter of 10.7 mm as well. And, the lens is removable for easy replacement. The Curing Light comes with a 45-day trial period and a two-year warranty.
