The American Association of Women Dentists has named Ultradent Products’ Uveneer Direct Composite Template System its 2018 Best Product. With a suggested retail price of approximately $600, the minimally invasive template system is designed to create direct composite veneers with reproducible and predictable shape and symmetry in a single visit.
Each template mimics natural dentition and is designed to create high-quality, natural-looking anterior composite restorations. The template system also helps dentists achieve a refined, anatomically correct, high-gloss restoration in a fraction of the time needed for free-hand restorations, Ultradent says. It can be used for mockups, shade selection, and temporaries.
“As a woman with a busy practice, I found that traditional freehand direct composite veneers were artistically challenging, unpredictable, and not always cost-effective,” said Dr. Sigal Jacobsen, creator of the Uveneer system.
“Being passionate about conservative dentistry, I knew there had to be a better way to create long-lasting, aesthetic composite veneers more efficiently and easily,” said Jacobsen. “I spent years creating and perfecting a template system that any dentist could rely on, which resulted in the Uveneer system.”
