The Ho Dental Company AiroPur Dental Aerosol Suction Cup is a disposable suction device that can be used to control aerosols during procedures such as ultrasonic scaling and coronal polishing. It is designed to provide peace of mind for dentists and hygienists at an extremely friendly price point, the company said. Also, dental practices can promote its use as an innovative measure taken against the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne illnesses, Ho Dental Company said.

The AiroPur inserts right into the end of the high-volume evacuation (HVE) hose. The patient holds the top of the AiroPur even with their lower lip while the HVE is operational, effectively pulling aerosols from the mouth and the air surrounding the patient’s face, the company said. It eliminates the need for bulky or expensive new equipment, Ho Dental Company added, saving dollars as well as space in the operatory.

Priced at less than a dollar each, the AiroPur is inexpensive enough to be disposable, but its construction also makes it autoclavable for reuse. It comes in 40-count packages at a retail price of $39.
