The PD IrriFlex irrigation needle is designed to provide flexibility, efficiency, and comfort in root canal irrigation. Unlike conventional metal needles, the company says, IrriFlex is made of a soft polypropylene body that is easy on dentin and can adapt easily to every root canal anatomy while getting as close to the apex as possible and irrigating areas once impossible to reach.
The design encompasses two side vents back to back at the tip to deliver lateral irrigation and a tapered shape to match root canal preparation and increase shear stress along the root canal walls. The result is enhanced cleaning and irrigation for improved removal of residue such as debris, smear layer, and biofilm, PD says.
Also, the IrriFlex is designed to provide exceptional glide in the root canal and improve accessibility. It is produced in an ISO 7 certified clean room and delivered in individually sealed pouches to maximize safety and avoid risks of cross contamination. It is compatible with all standard dental syringes as well.
