Patients who have reduced the clinical height of their teeth due to bruxism represent one of the most difficult restorative challenges due to potential issues with the retention form of the preparations and issues with porcelain chipping and fracture. In this case, TheraCem self-adhesive, resin cement, and semi-translucent, full-contour zirconia restorations were chosen to address these issues, respectively. TheraCem was the ideal choice to minimize contamination issues inherent with the subgingival margins of the preparations, which were needed to maximize retention and longevity of the restorations. Also, a novel modification to the presintered zirconia was performed to better match the shade of the pontic with the abutments.
