GC America’s GC Fuji Automix LC is a radiopaque, resin-reinforced glass ionomer available in automix delivery. This delivery system is designed for dentists who do not keep capsule mixers in their office, do not use glass ionomers because of capsule delivery, or prefer injectable restoratives.

The glass ionomer is a bioactive material with highly rechargeable fluoride release, reaching up to 200 μg/cm2 over the first 90 days. It has excellent bond strength because it forms a chemical bond to the tooth, even in the presence of saliva, GC America reports. Without the need for etchant and adhesive, it requires fewer steps to complete the restoration.

GC Fuji Automix LC is indicated for Class III and V restorations, restoration of primary teeth, core build-up, cases in which radiopacity is required, and as a base material for Class I and Class II cavities using a sandwich laminate technique.
