Ivoclar Vivadent now offers a 10-year limited warranty on IPS e.max restorations placed on July 1, 2020, and onward as well as a retroactive five-year warranty on permanent restorations placed on or after July 1, 2015.
According to the company, more than 150 million IPS e.max restorations have been placed with a survival rate of 96% during more than 15 years of clinical use. The IPS e.max family of materials includes IPS e.max Press, IPS e.max CAD, IPS e.max ZirCAD, and IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime.
With the warranty, laboratories will receive reimbursement or replacement of the product in the event of dental restoration failures after placement in a patient. Practitioners will be reimbursed for the replacement or repair of work previously accomplished.
