NEW! DentistryToday.com now offers this quick and informative area with
video techniques from some of the top clinicians in dentistry.

Dr. Ron Jackson of Middleburg, Va demonstrates a 100% isolation technique of a tooth using a rubber dam and ligature to prep the area. Using wax floss tied in a surgeon’s knot (looping twice), the rubber dam drops to the sulcus and keeps the single tooth isolated from the rest of the mouth. Tissue and fluid leakage are now eliminated, keeping a dry environment. The adhesive steps on the single tooth are now easier to manage, providing a high and dry margin.
