Ivoclar Vivadent’s PrograMill One is a compact, 5-axis milling machine designed to mill aesthetic IPS e.max restorations. Unlike other chairside mills, the self-contained, wireless design allows it to be placed anywhere within the practice and operated via a mobile device app. Its innovative rotary grinding process (5XT) leads to shorter milling times and minimal tool wear as well, according to the company.
Plus, a camera integrated in the PrograMill One automatically records all information about materials and tools, making the use of different materials extremely easy and material loading very convenient, Ivoclar Vivadent reports. Material, size, shade, and translucency are automatically rad in by means of the Data Matrix Code, which is printed on the block. The Optical Status Display visually informs users about current operating status.
Indications include inlays, onlays, veneers, partial crowns, crowns, and bridges with up to 45-mm block length. Materials include IPS e.max CAD, IPS e.max ZirCAD, IPS Empress CAD, and Telio CAD. And, the app provides order management, tool management, and machine management.
