Instafloss is designed to floss every tooth in 10 seconds, making flossing easier and more effective than ever before while eliminating excuses. Its Kickstarter campaign features a limited early bird special price of $99.

“Even people who do floss regularly often floss incorrectly,” said dentist Dr. Marc Mingel. “Instafloss is borderline genius.”

Instafloss uses an ergonomic mouthpiece that fits over the top and bottom teeth, using multiple water jets to floss both rows at once, 360° around each tooth. Water flossing has been shown to be more effective and comfortable than string, the company said, but manual single-jet water flossing is difficult, laborious, and time-consuming. Instafloss is the first multi-jet water flosser, the company added, automating the flossing process.

“We’ve been testing Instafloss for over three years to make sure it’s the most effective yet gentle floss possible,” said Eli Packouz, Instafloss cofounder. “We’re excited to bring the fastest, comfiest floss to everyone.”

Users can set the flosser’s intensity level for personalized comfort. It cleans twice as deep beneath the gumline than string, the company said. Aimed at a 90° angle to the gumline, its pulsing water jets are three times better at removing debris than a continuous flow of water, cleaning deeper and removing more plaque as well, the company added.

Instafloss also features swappable mouthpieces so family members can hygienically use the same unit. The mouthpiece is made from soft silicone. It fits 98% of users, including those with braces, bridges, and crooked teeth, the company said.

Brushing without flossing leaves 35% of teeth surfaces uncleaned, the company said, and traditional flossing requires about two minutes for good results. Instafloss works in 10 seconds, and its multiple jet pathways overlap to clean the same area multiple times, according to the company.
