ClōSYS Silver is specially formulated for adults older than 55 because oral health begins to suffer and the mouth becomes more sensitive as people age, according to the company. ClōSYS Silver with sodium fluoride plus Cloralstan helps with multiple adult mouth conditions, the company adds. ClōSYS’s patented formula includes Cloralstan, the trade name for stabilized chlorine dioxide. When ready to use, ClōSYS is exposed to the amino acids in saliva, allowing the antimicrobial Cloralstan to be activated. There is no mixing and waiting to use. Once released, the Cloralstan kills dental plaque-causing bacteria and volatile sulfur compounds that damage soft tissue.
