Dentsply Sirona Endodontics is adding to its glide-path portfolio with the release of its single glide-path WaveOne Gold Glider file. It offers the same reciprocating motion as WaveOne Gold and is designed to enhance the WaveOne Gold family of products.
Also, the WaveOne Gold Glider offers optimal canal preparation before shaping with WaveOne Gold while preserving the natural shape of the canal, according to the company. It increases patient safety due to its enhanced flexibility and resistance to cyclic fatigue compared to PathFile, Dentsply Sirona Endodontics reports. And since it’s sterile and ready for single use, it preserves cutting efficiency, reduces breakage, and prevents cross contamination, the company says.
Changing equipment or settings is no longer needed between glide path and shaping when using the WaveOne Gold file system with a Dentsply Sirona reciprocating motor. The WaveOne Gold Glider offers a file with a .015 tip with a .02 variable taper. The files are available in sterile packs of 3 in lengths of 21, 25, and 31 mm.
