Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Roundhay Road Dental in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Established over 80 years ago, Roundhay Road Dental is a predominantly NHS dental practice with four well-fitted surgeries and a long-standing loyal patient base. It is located in the large suburb of Harehills, in the north-east of Leeds, just four miles from the city center.
The practice has been owned by Dr. Aisha and Asim Zaman since 2017, who have built on its enviable reputation by delivering high-quality, family dentistry to the local community.
The pair recently decided to sell due to a relocation of their family and, following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, the practice has been purchased by first-time buyers, Drs. Kunal Rai and Namrata Sharma, who have specialisms in clear aligner therapy and restorative dentistry, and endodontics respectively. The pair plan to work on raising the profile of the practice, and offering both NHS and private, cosmetic treatments.
Drs. Kunal Rai and Namrata Sharma, new owners of Roundhay Road Dental, commented, “Seeing family and friends having their own clinic for many years and living a comfortable life gave us the desire to want to do the same and to buy our own practice. Roundhay Road Dental ticked all of the boxes for us; potential to grow into a private practice, a convenient location, and we had the confidence that we would be able to grow the practice, and so the price tag would be worthwhile. Our vision for the future is to provide a personalised service to each individual patient from the moment they arrive to when they leave, but with the business framework of expanding and being top of the game in technology and techniques. We want to build a brand based on trust. As with trust comes success.”
“Roundhay Road is a fantastic NHS practice and the perfect buy for first-time buyers Kunal and Namrata,” commented Olivia Allison, senior business agent for dental at Christie & Co, who handled the sale. “We wish them every success with the business going forward. We are continuing to see huge appetite from independent buyers; approximately 70 per cent of practices we sell are acquired by independent operators and first-time buyers. This demand is underpinned by strong appetite from high street lenders, providing buyers with an excellent opportunity to capitalise in a robust, needs-driven sector.”
Roundhay Road Dental was sold for an undisclosed price.
