The ADA Foundation Dr. David Whitson Leadership Award will enable a promising leader from an underrepresented group to attend the 12-month ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership via a $5,000 award.
The funding could be used to cover the costs of attending the program as well as to defray the costs of the program’s project, with a research focus on addressing an issue or challenge within the recipient’s community or organization, the oral health of the public, or an underserved population.
The award is open to any current student or resident in a CODA-approved program and to graduates of CODA-approved programs under the age of 40. Members of underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.
Selection will be based on leadership related to oral health and may include community engagement, service to the profession, or scientific advancement of oral public health. Applications may be submitted via the online portal by June 28.
