A controversy in the United Kingdom involves dental patients and the dental care they’re not receiving. People are falsely claiming free dental treatment when no dental procedure was actually performed.
More than 8,000 people filed the paperwork to claim the free treatment. The problem was they weren’t actually eligible for the treatment.
Some of the people accused of falsely claiming the dental treatment stated that the rules were unclear.
The end result was that people were fined various amounts. There was some confusion as to what government program would cover the treatment.
The situation may be avoided in the future because there may be clearer guidelines as to who is eligible for certain types of coverage.
