Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA) has named Tim Steffl its vice president, strategic development and finance. With 30 years of healthcare management, strategy, finance, and sales experience, he will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of DDPA’s strategic development and finance and accounting operations. He will be based at DDPA’s headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, and will report to DDPA president and CEO Steven R. Olson.
“As Delta Dental continues to address opportunities and challenges in the dynamic dental insurance landscape nationwide, Tim’s notable experience in diverse healthcare management and startups will be a fresh advantage to our system,” Olson said. “Tim has an engaging, creative leadership style that will complement Delta Dental’s culture. I look forward to working with him and leveraging his considerable experience.”
Previously, Steffl was president of Pivot Health Advisors and chief operating and development officer of American Hospital Association Solutions Inc/Health Forums. He also was vice president of Professional Healthcare Consultants and the founder and president of central Missouri’s first physician-hospital organization and independent physician association. He holds a BS in business administration with a specialization in finance from the Ohio State University.
