The TRIOS intraoral scanner from 3Shape has received the 2017 Cellerant Best of Class Award in the digital impression category. This is the fifth year in a row that TRIOS has taken this honor. The Cellerant panel chose the TRIOS for its accuracy, scanning speeds, and ease of use. Coupled with its range of workflow options, open STL + DCM export, and third-party integration, TRIOS is designed for a better patient experience and growing treatment opportunities.

“Winning the Best of Class Award now for the fifth year in a row is very exciting—more so, because the Cellerant award winners are chosen by a panel of doctors and industry professionals, professionals that recognize the value solutions need to bring to the practice,” said Tais Clausen, cofounder and co-CEO of 3Shape.

“The 3Shape TRIOS team continues to impress the panel with its commitment to innovation. This year, TRIOS added new apps that improve insight and the digital workflow, as well as introducing the industry’s first and only wireless intraoral scanner,” said Lou Shuman, DMD, creator and founder of the Cellerant Best of Class Award.

TRIOS is available in 3 models, starting with the TRIOS 3 Wireless, which links to laptops via a point-to-point wireless connection to eliminate the need for connecting cables in the operatory. Meanwhile, the TRIOS 3 Mono takes digital impressions without color but can be upgraded at any time.
