UnitedHealthcare Vision and Dental plans each have been ranked highest in customer satisfaction among the nation’s vision and dental carriers, according to recent reports from J.D. Power.
UnitedHealthcare’s cumulative score of 825 for vision was the highest of the plans analyzed, including ranking No. 1 in all five categories measured (coverage, cost, communications, customer service and reimbursement). UnitedHealthcare’s cumulative score of 806 for dental was the highest among dental plans, including taking the top spot for four of the five key categories.
UnitedHealthcare vision and dental plan members have benefited from various investments in data, technology, and innovation, including online and mobile resources that help people more effectively evaluate and access eye and oral services. Recent enhancements include virtual dental care resources to help people receive oral care services 24/7, along with innovative benefit designs that provide children and adults improved access to comprehensive eye exams and prescription eyewear.
Another key offering from UnitedHealthcare is an integrated approach for employers that combine medical benefits with specialty plans, including vision or dental coverage. This integrated approach provides members with a more simplified experience and enables employers to help improve employee health outcomes, increase productivity and lower costs, including the ability to potentially save up to 4% on medical premiums.
The J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Vision Plan Satisfaction Report is based on responses from more than 1,110 vision plan members, while the J.D.
