CERRITOS, Calif. (September 16, 2013) Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. (MDT) released its line-up for the 2013 Corporate Forum at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Philadelphia.

“Last year’s MDT scientific session was standing-room-only,” says Robert H. Gregg II, DDS, president of Millennium Dental Technologies. “New and notable topics will be presented this year and we expect an even bigger turnout as the demand for research and clinical outcomes for the LANAP® protocol are answered.”

MDT is proud to present three speakers at this year’s Corporate Forum:

Marc Nevins, DMD, MMSc will present results from both the recent and soon-to-be published independent nine-month en-bloc human histological study of the LANAP protocol using the PerioLase® MVP-7™. This course features identical sessions at 1p.m. and 4 p.m.

Responding to the increasing challenges of failing and ailing implants in dentistry, Raymond Yukna, DMD, MS, explains the historical approach to trying to save implants and current treatment methodologies and philosophies, including the LAPIP protocol using the PerioLase MVP-7. Dr. Yukna’s presentation begins at 2 p.m.

Finally, at 3 p.m., Mark Reynolds, DDS, PhD will provide an update on the in-progress five-center, university- and private-practice based, prospective, blinded, longitudinal, calibrated clinical trial analyzing the treatment of gum disease. The study uses a split-mouth design, comparing the LANAP protocol using the PerioLase MVP-7 FR Pulsed Nd:YAG laser to scaling and root planing (SRP), modified widman flap (MWF) surgery, and coronal debridement (CD) in a minimum of 50 subjects with respect to periodontal clinical attachment level gain.

The AAP’s Corporate Forum is open to all dentists, regardless of membership in the AAP. For more information, visit their website: perio.org.
