The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) has produced a video designed to educate the public about the life-changing impact of dental implants. Featuring interviews from AAID-credentialed dentists, the video addresses their profound influence on the physical and mental well-being of patients, the AAID says.
Although each patient is different, the AAID says, the video breaks down the misconception that dental implants will cause pain. Advances in the field provide individuals with nearly pain-free procedures and implants that feel and function like healthy teeth, the AAID says. Plus, dental implants provide confidence in addition to physical benefits, the AAID says.
“Their smile is different. They feel younger. They feel like they have something back they lost,” said Kyle Hale, DDS, MPH, describing his implant patients.
Dental implant procedures require extensive training, the says the AAID, which encourages patients to seek experts who meet its qualifications and demonstrate deep knowledge of the field.
“The credentialed implant dentist is the one who can provide the comprehensive treatment for the patient from treatment planning to the surgical aspects to the restoration of their implant prosthetic,” said Craig Aronson, DDS.
