Kim Smith has joined Zest Dental Solutions as its chief financial officer (CFO), while Sean Finn will be the company’s special markets manager.
Smith will oversee the accounting and facilities departments and focus on identifying areas of savings and investment. Previously, she was CFO of Wetzel’s Pretzels and vice president of finance for PetSmart.
“Zest has a proven track record of producing world class solutions and is well positioned for its next phase of growth. The business has a clear and ambitious strategy that is driven by a strong and experienced leadership team with a successful track record in dental,” said Smith.
“I look forward to advising the company during this next growth phase as we look to expand our sales channels and countries, introduce new products and services, and also drive savings to reinvest in the business,” said Smith.

Meanwhile, Finn will join the company’s Special Markets Team, led by global sales vice president Mike Van Nostran. Finn will focus on building relationships with key stakeholders within many DSO, GPO, and dental laboratory networks.
Finn has more than 10 years of sales leadership experience in the dental and supply industries, Zest reports. Most recently, he was director of sales at Thomman Dental Implants, where his areas of responsibility grew double-digit sales growth, Zest says.
